Shake it out – Florence and The Machine (testo e video)

C’è finalmente un titolo per il nuovo album di Florence and The Machine. Si chiamerà “Cerimonials” e conterrà tredici brani inediti tra cui “What the water gave me” (il primo singolo rilasciato poche settimane fa), “Spectrum”, “Breaking down”, “Lover to lover” e “Shake it out”, il nuovo singolo in uscita in questi giorni. Brano affascinante e anche piuttosto complesso, ma che riesce a mettere ben in evidenza le doti vocali di Florence Welch.
“Cerimonials”, registrato ai famosi Abbey Road Studios di Londra, è stato prodotto da Paul Epworth (Adele, Cee Lo Green, Primal Scream…) già alla console per l’album di debutto di Florence and The Machine, “Lungs”.
La pubblicazione dell’album, inizialmente prevista per il 7 novembre, è stata anticipata al 31 ottobre, giorno in cui si celebra la festa di Halloween. Sarà forse un caso? Se pensiamo a quanto dichiarato recentemente da Florence è lecito avere qualche dubbio: “Il secondo disco sarà molto più ‘dark’ del precedente, si parlerà di aldilà, di presenze, di cari defunti che ritornano in sogno e di fantasmi…”.
