What the water gave me – Florence and The Machine (testo e video)
In attesa di conoscere il titolo del secondo album in uscita il prossimo 7 novembre, i fans di Florence & The Machine hanno l’opportunità di godersi una gustosa anteprima. Si tratta del nuovo singolo inedito “What the water gave me”, brano suonato per la prima volta in occasione del concerto al Greek Theatre di Berkeley lo scorso 12 giugno.
Forte del successo di vendite dell’album d’esordio “Lungs” del 2010 grazie alla hit “You’ve got the love”, Florence Welch (questo il nome della venticinquenne cantante londinese) punta decisa a fare il bis con questo nuovo singolo. Il brano, ispirato al suicidio della scrittrice inglese Virginia Wolf, ha una piuttosto melodia accattivante ed è pervaso da un’atmosfera misteriosa e anche un po’ lugubre. Infatti come la stessa Florence ha avuto modo di puntualizzare, pare che il nuovo album avrà un respiro molto più dark rispetto al precedente, con testi ispirati a tematiche riguardanti la morte, l’aldilà e misteriose presenze occulte.
